Paradise Park Kitchen

Inspired by the homeowner’s Peruvian heritage, this kitchen design weaves in subtle Inka influences through rich earth tones, warmth, graceful curves, and a sense of balanced symmetry. These elements echo the natural beauty and artistry of Peru while keeping the kitchen feeling fresh and timeless.

Removing the peninsula and introducing a generously sized island transformed the space, opening the circulation, improving sightlines, and creating a natural hub for everyday meals and celebrations alike.

The result is a kitchen that feels both deeply personal and highly functional, a welcoming space where culture, comfort, and modern living come together effortlessly.

Project Completed: 2024

Before

Before the renovation, the kitchen was defined by a peninsula layout that limited circulation and partially closed off the space from the surrounding living and dining areas. While generous in cabinetry and storage, the configuration created tighter walkways and interrupted the natural flow of the home.

The goal was to open the layout, introduce stronger symmetry, and create a kitchen that felt lighter, more intentional, and better suited for a large family that enjoys cooking.

Plans & Renderings

The reimagined floorplan centered around the client’s wishes to expand the kitchen dimensions and improve traffic flow. The peninsula would be replaced with a generously sized island, a shift that immediately improved circulation.

Beyond the functionality of the island, there would also be a designated cookbook area, a discreet laundry room entrance, appliance garages, integrated electrical outlets, and a beverage center with a coordinating sink and undercounter refrigerator.
