Once defined by honey-maple cabinetry, dark granite, and a fragmented layout, this kitchen was completely reimagined as a light-filled, contemporary space. Ceiling-height white shaker cabinetry replaced heavy raised-panel millwork, while a dramatic double-island configuration transformed how the family moves through and uses the space.
Porcelain-clad stone, carried across both island waterfall edges and the custom range hood, creates a striking architectural focal point. A dedicated beverage station and full-height custom swing-out pantry brought purposeful organization where clutter once lived. Layered lighting, modern hardware, and white oak floors complete a renovation that doesn’t just look different; it works differently.

The original kitchen was a broken space that felt disconnected from the rest of the home. A partition wall and bulky overhead soffit visually lowered the ceiling and limited natural light, making the room feel darker and more confined. Overall, the space lacked storage, modern upgrades, refreshed interior finishes, and decorative appeal.
The plan was to remove the partition wall and eliminate the overhead soffit to increase ceiling height, improve connection to surrounding rooms, and allow light to move freely throughout the space. The electrical wiring would also be rerouted into the floor from the overhead soffit.
The refridgerator would be seamlessly integrated into the modernized cabinetry. The two-tone cabinet scheme would feature white upper cabinets and a contrasting color on the lower cabinets to create depth and visual interest all while maximizing storage.
