Biltmore Square Main Living Areas
Desert Ridge Condo Master Bathroom
When our client came to us, his master bathroom no longer met his needs. The space felt dated and inefficient, lacking the comfort and safety needed for long-term living, without sacrificing style. Aging in place was important, but it had to feel intentional, not institutional.
Working in a high-rise condominium added challenges, from moving materials through a passenger elevator to designing around a fixed shared vent, requiring careful planning at every step.
The result is a modern, functional bathroom that balances beauty and practicality. Sleek slab cabinetry, bright quartz surfaces, layered lighting, and rich porcelain tile set a contemporary tone, while dual vanities, integrated shower seating, discreet grab bars, and motion-activated toe-kick lighting enhance comfort and safety. The finished space is a refined retreat, supporting the client’s lifestyle now and for years to come.
Project Completed: 2024
Before
Before the renovation, the master bathroom technically worked, but the space felt crowded rather than calming. The client’s priorities were removing the unused bath tub for a more open layout, separate the vanities to give each user their own personal space, install grab bars for safety and accessibility, and brighten the space with refined finishes and layered lighting
The goal was to simplify the layout, brighten the space, and create a bathroom that would feel both beautiful and supportive for years to come.
Plans & Renderings
The redesign began with functionality and everyday ease in mind. Removing the unused tub opened the space for two separate vanities, one featuring tower cabinetry for increased storage. The shower was reconfigured with bench seating and body sprayers for comfort and accessibility, while motion-sensor toe-kick lighting enhances safety during the night.
Blending warm tones and balancing with a rich, deep blue, we were able to create a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Layered lighting enhances the space’s mood, while sleek modern plumbing fixtures and slab cabinetry maintain a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Bright quartz countertops and vertically stacked subway tile add contrast. The result is a refined, inviting retreat.
